Hey, I'm Holly 👋
I’m the photographer behind Roots and Tales, and someone who knows first-hand how vulnerable it can feel to be seen. This past year I’ve shown up in front of the camera more than ever — sharing more of my life and parts of my story I once kept tucked away — and it’s changed everything for me.
The more I allowed myself to be visible, the more clearly I began attracting clients who feel like friends. People who connect with my energy, my intuition and my story-led approach.

When do my payments begin?
Your first payment is taken on the day you join. Quarterly payments then continue every 3 months for the full 12 months.
Where will the shoots take place?
We’ll choose seasonal locations that feel aligned with your story — outdoors, at your workspace, lifestyle spots or places that feel meaningful to your brand.
Can we shoot in multiple locations?
Absolutely. Most sessions naturally include a couple of locations that fit into your Seasonal Story Plan.
What's included in the b-roll collection?
Short video clips (3–30 seconds each) of living, moving scenes from your shoot. Perfect for adding movement to your content — ideal for Reels, Stories, website banners and seasonal brand moments.
Do I need to prepare anything before each session?
We'll do it all together. Each season you’ll receive a short questionnaire and your personalised Story Plan after our call so you know exactly what to expect, what too bring along and how to prepare.
What if I’m nervous about being photographed?
Completely normal. My sessions are calm, intuitive and gently directed — nothing stiff or staged. I’ll guide you so you feel relaxed, natural and genuinely yourself.
What if the weather is bad?
We adapt. We can switch to indoor locations, embrace the weather if it suits the story, or reschedule if its a total washout using your priority rebooking.
What if my business changes direction mid-year?
This is for you! That’s exactly why this plan exists. Each session starts with a seasonal discovery call where we realign with where you are now. Your visuals evolve with you — that’s the whole point.
Do I need to use all 4 sessions in consecutive seasons?
Not necessarily. The plan works best quarterly, but we can adjust timing for launches, events, travel or business needs.
Can I use these images for anything?
Yes — you receive full commercial usage rights. Use your images anywhere your brand appears: website, social media, newsletters, marketing materials or print.
Can I purchase additional sessions?
Yes. Plan clients receive discounted add-on shoots. Just DM or email me and we can chat through your options.
What if I’m not ready for a full year commitment?
You can start with a single storytelling session (from £295) and upgrade to the Seasonal Stories Plan later if it feels right.
What happens at the end of the year?
You can renew at a preferential returning-client rate, move to individual sessions, or simply keep using your 280+ images. No pressure — your visuals are yours forever.
What about travel costs?
There’s a small travel fee of 50p per mile (return) from my home in Barton to our chosen location. I’ll confirm this with you ahead of time so everything is clear.
What if I need to reschedule a session?
Life happens. I ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice — sooner if possible — and as a Seasonal Stories client you’ll get priority rebooking. We’ll find a time that suits your rhythm.
How quickly will I receive my images?
Your seasonal gallery will be delivered within a maximum of 28 days, neatly organised and ready to download from your private online space.
Do you edit the images?
Yes — all images are professionally edited in my natural, story-led Roots and Tales style, giving you consistent brand visuals throughout the year.
